Mission Statement

The Bundoora United Football Club is one of the largest clubs in the Whittlesea district and was established circa 1970. We administer competition football in accordance with the rules of the Football Federation of Victoria and our Club policies, in the best interest of developing all junior players, the education of our coaches and providing a quality pathway to senior football.

We are a family Club and value our members and their families and encourage all involved to always display sportsmanlike behaviour. We also value our dedicated volunteers who give their time freely and without hesitation.

We are committed to excellence and the improvement of our sport and the community alike.

Vision Statement

To inspire and enable our members to achieve excellence in the sport of football and in life.

Major Sponsors 2008

A New Beginning

Our 2008 season has passed and we can look back with pride at our achievements, both on and off the field. Premiers in the Masters and the Under 13 Girls, runners up in the Under 13C Boys, Under 16A Boys and the State 2 Women, and another group of top 4 finishers. We had a well managed Club including our canteen, Small Sided Games program, finances, end of year events and general operations. All these have helped build on a strong foundation through a coordinated and dedicated group of Committee people and countless volunteers helping thoughout the season.  Though there was some disruption to our training venues/nights, we will continue to work closely with our local council and all teams affected to minimise the impact.

This year signalled also the end of an era at Bundoora United. Two stalwarts of the Club, Silvio Turco and Mary Nicolaou, decided to step down after years of volunteering their time to the Club. We  sincerely  thank them for their contribution and efforts over these years.

I'd like to thank the members who gave up their time to attend our recent AGM and congratulate the new 2009 Committee for their committment to our Club. I would also like to thank those present for the opportunity to lead the Club into 2009 and to an even more successful year. I am confident in the ability and dedication of our new Committee and I'm sure these attributes will shine through over the season coming.

Thank you,

Michael Cattenazzi
